After being reactivated October 2020 following a seven-year pause, V Corps on Fort Knox will be tested in several exercises as it seeks to be combat ready by fall 2021, V Corps Commander Lt. Gen. John Kolasheski said earlier this month, according to
Army News Service reports.
U.S. Armyâs V Corps, which was deactivated in 2013 as part of a drawdown in Europe, currently is split-based in the United States and Europe. While the corps is headquartered at Fort Knox, a forward headquarters recently was established in Poland as it prepares to help oversee assigned and rotational Army units in Europe.
