“Council hopes an outcome can be achieved within the next couple of months,’' Hare said. Repairs will be at the contractors expense. ”There is no revised budget. All costs associated with the bridge being constructed off alignment will be covered by the construction contractor with no cost to council or ratepayers,’' Hare said. ”The contractor is currently determining a design solution to rectify the alignment at its own cost. This will need to be peer reviewed and approved by council before any physical remedial works occur.’’ The bridge, in a rural area, has approximately 50 vehicle movements a day, of which 10 are large vehicles.
