Company spokesman Warren Jones said there are many roles to fill, from junior members, ages 15-18, to active firefighters 18 and older. He said volunteer membership advantages include state pension benefit, lower cellphone fees, state income tax credit, workers’ compensation, life insurance, yearly awards banquets, free surf-fishing licenses, firefighter automobile license plates, scholarships, immunizations, free training, and equipment and gear.
