When the doors of the Baldwin Public Library open again, Rebekah Craft will be there to welcome visitors as the new director. Craft will take the reins at the library Jan. 16, chosen by the library board to take over for Doug Koschik, who is retiring after working for the library for 30 years, the past 11 as director. Her path to the top spot was a fairly quick one in a world where full-time library jobs are scarce and competed for fiercely. “I feel very fortunate to have found a job working in libraries,” Craft said, adding that the director position is a “dream.”
