Discussing Punjab Agricultural University’s roadmap for the year 2024, vice-chancellor Satbir Singh Gosal said the target was to establish it as Asia’s best agricultural university. The officials are focused on infrastructural progress and are targeting completion of the ‘Clean and green PAU campus revamp drive’ this year. The Student Park near the Mohinder Singh Randhawa library will also be completed soon this year. The university buildings, lawns, and market area will be upgraded. Separate grants are likely to be sanctioned for infrastructure upgrade. The university officials have made a significant contribution to the formulation of the state's agricultural policy. A technology park for smart farming and expansion of agroprocessing capacities are also part of the plan. A speed breeding facility is being established at PAU.
