Published January 29, 2021, 5:55 PM Philippine Sports Commissioner Mon Fernandez has been working with various agencies and officials to get approval for the resumption of training for Southeast Asian Games-bound athletes late this year. Fernandez, who is also appointed as the country’s chief of mission to the biennial meet slated in Vietnam, said they have been discussing with the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) on how to resume formal training to the rest of the athletes. “We are working on it,” Fernandez said. So far, the Inter-Agency Task Force only allowed athletes seeking berths to the 2021 Tokyo Olympics as well as qualifiers to train in a bubble-type setup.
