Protesting Nigerian Policemen Lament 18-month Unpaid Salaries In Osun, Say Commercial Motorbike Riders Are Sleeping With Their Wives

Personnel of the Nigeria Police Special Constabulary on Wednesday stormed the streets of Osogbo, the Osun State capital, to protest against the non-payment of their stipends in the last 18 months. The protesting policemen in uniforms marched through Okefia down to Olaiya junction, chanting that their remuneration should be paid. The constabularies recruited to complement the police structure by providing intelligence, among others were inaugurated in May 2021 at Police Headquarters, Osun State after their training in April 2021.
