St. Olaf College Professors Bridget Draxler and Diane LeBlanc believe a student's process and growth rather than accuracy makes "underrepresented" students feel confident and accepted. The two are encouraging their colleagues to follow suit, arguing that their method "decenter[s] white, upper-middle class educational and social experiences." Former teacher Janice Crouse, however, thinks this is par for the cancel culture.
