Prince Philip leaves lasting legacy in community through awards program She didn’t always jump at opportunities when they presented themselves, but learning how to get out of her comfort zone and do just that has set Aurora resident Julia Garbe on the road to her future. Ms. Garbe, an engineering student at the University of Waterloo, is currently in a dream internship at Apple, a long way away from when she first tentatively joined the robotics team at King’s Country Day School. It’s a fulfilling step towards a fulfilling future, but a path she might not be on right now without the Duke of Edinburgh and the international awards program for students he founded which still bears his name.
