Premier Health, UD holds vaccine clinic for students

The University of Dayton (UD) and Premier Health held a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the UD Arena for students on Sunday.
The clinic was part of a statewide push to vaccinate Ohio’s college students before the end of the semester to help stop the spread of more contagious variants of the virus.
Around 900 students received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
“I didn’t have to look for the vaccine, the school did that for us,” said Alexandria Bennett, a senior at UD.
Dr. Steve Burdette, a Miami Valley Hospital doctor who was at the UD Arena today, says that their COVID patient numbers are lower than any other point in the pandemic, and that it’s all the more reason young people should get vaccinated.
