Prahran Square awarded for construction excellence
Kane Constructions Pty Ltd have been announced the winner of the Excellence in Civil Construction award at the 2020 Master Builders Excellence in Construction Awards.
Recognised for their work on Prahran Square, Kane Constructions took just under two years to complete what is to-date the city’s largest every construction project.
Prahran Square is the $60 million transformation of the old Cato Street car park into 10,000 square metres of multi-functional urban parkland, above 500 underground car parking spaces. The development increased parking capacity by 20 per cent and turned what was otherwise a hot and dusty bitumen car park into a green and inviting space.
