Pope's own abuse commission blasts system that leaves victims 'wounded and in the dark'

In a bold new statement, the pope’s safeguarding commission has condemned what they said are flaws in current norms and a failure on the part of church authorities to properly handle the issue, saying they will push ecclesial hierarchs to do more.
