Political candidate: Lauren Salmon-Garrett Position sought: Wachusett Regional School Committee member Introduction: Since 2017, I have been running the Facebook page I Am Wachusett - In Action. I started it after a school committee member called for advocacy to go from solely online advocacy to action by the community. I stepped up to hold a community meeting, organize further meetings in each of the five district towns, and to advocate for WRSD by educating the community on the budget process and letting them know how they as citizens could take simple actions to help. Since starting the page, the WRSD budget has passed in all five towns every year. I hope the I Am Wachusett group and In Action facebook page had some small part in making that happen.
