Police week: Domestic assault, prescription pills by: George Lauby - May. 30, 2021 Top News A North Platte man was arrested Wednesday and charged with a violent domestic assault. Police spokesman John Deal said the case started at 12:16 p.m. on May 9, when police met with a 42-year-old woman who said she was the victim in an assault that early that morning. Police were told that the woman was at home in the 700 block of E. Philip when her estranged boyfriend, Louis Acevedo, arrived. She said Acevedo no longer lived there and the door was locked. The locks had been recently changed.
