Police seek man believed to have information in Fayetteville homicide
Detectives with Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit have identified the victim who was found dead Dec. 16, and they're looking for a man believed to have information in his death.
Anthony Cogdell, 44, who was homeless, was found shot and found dead inside a vehicle on the 1300 block of Jacob Street, according to a Fayetteville police news release.
Cogdell's next of kin has been notified.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit and Homicide Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Reginald Wedner.
Wedner, 23, of the 300 block of Brass Court, is charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle, felony possession of stolen goods, and felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Wedner is charged in connection to the theft of a vehicle belonging to Fayetteville Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care. Wedner is also believed to have information regarding the homicide of Anthony Cogdell, according to the release.
