Police give update on Lord Street, St Helens stabbing investigation

DETECTIVES have released two suspects on bail after a man was stabbed in the leg on Friday evening in what police described as an "appalling attack".
As reported by the Star, police sealed off an area of Lord Street - an estate located off College Street, St Helens.
Officers had received a report at about 5pm that a man had been attacked at an address.
Emergency services found a 45-year-old man with stab wounds to his leg.
He was taken to hospital for his injuries, however, a police spokesperson confirmed he has since been released.
A 42-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from St Helens, were arrested on suspicion on section 18 wounding, an offence also knowns as inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
