Around 8:52 p.m. that evening, a state police patrol supervisor out of Troop E spotted a vehicle traveling around 15-20 mph in the far right lane of the highway, southbound near Exit 9 in Montville. The officer pulled the woman over at a service plaza, where she told the officer “she was running out of gas which was why she was driving so slow,” state police said in a press release.
