The Winnipeg Police Service says northbound and southbound traffic on Main Street is unaffected by current investigation work.
More information is set to be released Thursday, but Constable Jay Murray, Public Information Officer with the Winnipeg Police Service, is sharing some information regarding an assault that occurred around 1:36 p.m. Wednesday.
"Members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of an assault in the area of Main Street and Dufferin Avenue. An adult male has been transported to a hospital with serious injuries," he says in a statement.
He could not provide an update on the man's condition.
