PNGOC throws support behind weightlifter Toua Sunday, 23 May 2021 The Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee (PNGOC) has insisted history-making weightlifter Dika Toua remains in its Olympic plans and has offered the athlete support, after a complaint was made to the police about her. The PNGOC said in a statement that it was aware of a complaint made against the Commonwealth Games gold medallist and that it "looks forward to a speedy resolution of this matter", but reiterated that Toua is still a member of the nation's Olympic team. Chef de Mission Tamzin Wardley also rubbished a claim that an arrest warrant had been issued for Toua, who is currently in quarantine in Australia ahead of resuming training there.
