Plea against daughter’s marriage rejected Petitioner accused brother of abducting, marrying niece LAHORE: Lahore High Court’s Justice Mushtaq Ahmed has allowed a girl to go with her husband, rejecting her father’s claim that his brother had married her in violation of the Sharia. Petitioner Muhammad Boota had filed a habeas corpus petition seeking recovery of his daughter and alleging that his brother had kept her in illegal detention. However, during the proceedings he failed to prove that the girl was the real niece of the respondent. The girl told the court that she had made married the man who was not her real uncle. She said she wanted to go with her husband and no one had abducted her.
