Pittsfield man dead, suspect under arrest in shooting Updated 10:35 PM; PITTSFIELD – One man is dead and a second is facing murder charges after a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night. The shooting took place at 6:18 p.m. on 631 North St. Police responding to a ShotSpotter activation found the victim, Lemond Grady, 39, seriously injured, said Andrew McKeever, spokesman for Berkshire District Attorney Andrea Harrington. Grady was rushed to Berkshire Medical Center by Action Ambulance and later died from his wounds, he said. Responding officers received a description of a suspect, who ran from the area after the shooting. Patrol units searched the area and quickly arrested the man nearby on Lincoln Street, McKeever said.
