The city of Guwahati is preparing for the festival of Magh Bihu with lip-smacking pithas and fresh fish. High-quality curd made from buffalo milk, along with rice cakes and other items, have flooded the markets. Bora rice, sesame, jaggery, and coconuts from different parts of Assam are also in demand. The oldest fish market at Uzan Bazar ghat is all set to provide a variety of locally produced fish on Uruka day. Traders are expecting a good sale this year.
