A Phoenix area school district embroiled in controversy in recent months over its attempts to adopt practices aimed at providing an equitable education and environment to marginalized students will revise its equity goals after receiving backlash from some in the community. The announcement was made in a letter to parents and staff from the Litchfield Elementary School District administration late Friday afternoon. "Is is clear that the goals that were presented at the March 2021 Governing Board meeting need revision," Superintendent Jodi Gunning wrote. "We will continue gathering feedback through the end of the school year and will share revised goals this summer."
