SARANAC LAKE — Students attending Petrova Elementary School are going remote Friday after a member of the school community tested positive for COVID-19 Thursday afternoon.
Students are expected to return to class Tuesday, after the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, according to Saranac Lake Central School District Superintendent Diane Fox.
Fox made the announcement in a robocall to parents Thursday, opening with, “Good afternoon. Unfortunately, it’s me again.”
She said the kindergarten through sixth-grade students at Petrova in Saranac Lake will remain remote through the weekend, with plans to return them to their regular hybrid learning schedule on Tuesday.
