People explain what changed their minds about getting vaccinated, why they waited until now August 4, 2021 4:09 PM Updated: BELOIT, Wis. — For the last several months, health officials at pop-up vaccine clinics weren’t seeing a lot of people show up to get vaccinated. But recently, that’s changed. “Vaccination rates are not declining as they were a few weeks ago. They’re starting to be steady or even increase a little bit,” said Rock County Public Health Nurse Jennifer Weadge. Weadge said the pop-up clinic hosted at Hackett Elementary School Wednesday was the best turnout she’d seen in months. Close to 20 people showed up to get the vaccine, compared to the six person average at other pop-up clinics in previous weeks.
