Following a tough road trip to Dallas Center to start the week, the Pella Christian boys and girls of summer return home seeking to get back in the win column this evening, welcoming Newton to town for a single varsity conference game. While the Eagles softball team ran into a buzzsaw with No. 1 in 4A Dallas Center-Grimes, they’ll look to get back on track against a Newton team that has three of their five losses against league competition, but have yet to play the ranked Mustangs or Indianola, considered the league favorites. Pella Christian is trying to snap a nine game losing-skid on the baseball diamond against a Newton team that has had an inconsistent start to the 2021 summer season. Junior Caleb Belzer believes despite their slow start, the team is having fun, and yet to play the best they can.
