(Photo courtesy of 6ID) CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao - President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has encouraged the officers and men of the Army's 6th Infantry Division (ID) to sustain the gains in the fight against terrorists and intensify the promotion of peace in its area of jurisdiction. "Keep up the good work," Marcos told the 6ID personnel, led by division commander Maj. Gen. Roy Galido, in a brief "talk to the troops" here Thursday. As commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the President said he was elated with the accomplishments of the 6ID in its peace efforts in Central Mindanao, which paved the way for the bolstering of economic activities in the region. He urged 6ID personnel "to act morally and do the right thing to uphold peace and order in this part of Mindanao." In response, Galido assured Marcos that the 6ID would continue to uphold the law and protect the interest of everyone in its area of jurisdiction. In the same event, he presented to the President assorted high-powered firearms recovered by the soldiers in their various peace efforts and military operations. In his visit to the camp, Marcos was accompanied by AFP Chief of Staff, Lt. General Bartolome Vicente O. Bacarro, and Western Mindanao Command chief Lt. Gen. Alfredo V.
