A 25-year-old man is a stable condition following a motorbike accident which claimed the life of another man at about 10.15pm Sunday night.
Initial investigations suggested the driver and a pillion passenger were headed north on Centenary Crescent when the rider lost control on a curve and hit the gutter, throwing both men from the bike.
The rider, a 25-year-old Maroochydore man, died at the scene.
Neither men were wearing a helmet.
The 25-year-old rider passed away after the motorcycle crashed at a bend along Centenary Crescent.
The passenger, also a 25-year-old Maroochydore man, was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
