Chandigarh, April 15 A day after the central government announced to promote Class X students without conducting examinations, owing to Covid-19 pandemic, schools and parents are now in a fix over the procedure for assessment of marks. While the decision was welcomed by many students, there are few who are also worried about their percentile. Schools and officials meanwhile are waiting for CBSE guidelines, however they are also view that the assessment should be made on some concrete basis. “The whole exercise (cancelling the examinations) has been unnecessary. Out of 100, only handful of students would be happy with the decision. Also, there are many students, who skipped their pre-boards and other internal examinations and this process, now how would we assess their performance,” said HS Mamik, President, Independent School Association (ISA) Chandigarh.
