Pannun assassination: SC rejects plea of Indian detained in Czech Republic for foiled plot to kill Khalistani separatist in US

The Supreme Court rejected a plea for consular access by a family member of Indian national Nikhil Gupta, accused of plotting an assassination attempt on Sikh separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on American soil. The court ruled that Gupta is entitled to consular access under the Vienna convention and that the court should respect the jurisdiction and sovereignty of the foreign court.
