Light snow fell during the meeting, which was scaled back this year because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The electors remained socially distanced while sitting in the forum and signing documents. The streets in Harrisburg remained quiet outside the Forum and the Capitol Building, where protesters have gathered regularly in recent months. Sometimes they have rallied against restrictions introduced by Gov. Tom Wolf and health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine, as they've worked to stop the spread of COVID-19. And more recently there have been demonstrations related to a contentious Pennsylvania election, which Biden won in Pennsylvania by more than 80,000 votes.
