Oxford Selectmen Discuss Vaccine Program for Residents : com

Once vaccines are widely available, the town will offer a participating vaccine program.
Mr. Temple said he doesn’t want to see Covid-19 in Oxford because he has seen what it has done to people. He said he understands the vaccine isn’t for everyone, but he plans to get it as soon as it’s available. Oxford’s first responders have already inquiried on their availability to get the vaccine, the first selectman noted.
Oxford has had a total of 338 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and saw a significant increase after the Thanksgiving holiday. Connecticut’s positivity rate continues to fluctuate in the most recent weeks due to holiday gatherings. About 166 out of 169 Connecticut towns, including Oxford, are at the red alert level, the highest of the state’s four alert levels.
