Moberly Monitor-Index
Come next winter, Moberly will officially have an ovenight warming shelter for persons in need when outdoor temperatures are 15 degrees or below. Doors will be open to greet such guests between Nov. 1 and March 31 thanks to efforts coming from members of First Christian Church, United Way of Randolph County and the county's Ministerial Alliance.
The process for this community service to materialize had taken more than a year before it finally stringent City of Moberly requirements. As a result, the city council unanimously approved a conditional use permit for the ministerial alliance to operate a temporary warming shelter during its Monday business meeting at City Hall.
