Over 1800 pies sold for DIPG research

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – Peace region Burger Kings raised $1867 from pie sales for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) research last week.
“We would like to thank Isabelle [Cayford] for asking us to be involved and thank everyone who took the opportunity to help us raise awareness for this cause by getting a pie,” says Trevor Bolin, the owner of Burger Kings in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Grande Prairie.
Cayford has been vocal about raising DIPG awareness in honour of her daughter Adaura, who passed away last summer. DIPG is a terminal and malignant brain tumour found in children that is incurable and inoperable and has a zero per cent survival rate.
