Ian remembers with complete clarity the occasion which brought home to him the extent to which one of the biggest household names in Britain’s holidays industry was operating a policy of blatant race discrimination.  
He had joined Pontins in 2014 as a “holiday adviser” working in the company’s main telephone booking centre in Merseyside, answering calls from customers wanting to reserve rooms at the chain’s network of cheap and cheerful holiday parks.
