Berry is the program manager at the San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative at the University of San Diego, and lives in City Heights. It’s no secret that San Diego has a reputation for being idyllic. Situated among beaches, mountains and desert, it is truly a place where one can have it all. As a result, the region is sustained by an urgency to preserve our picturesque, high quality of life — an urgency that is rooted in the understanding that a strong relationship with the natural environment also strengthens our health and economy. To make serious strides towards climate action, robust collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders is imperative.
