Article content World Press Freedom Canada and Journalists for Human Rights have long been advocates for a free and independent press as the bedrock of a healthy democracy and protector of human rights. We oppose government secrecy and censorship; advocate for transparency and accountability, and denounce the demagogic politician’s use of media manipulation and control.
