(ABC 6 News) - As of Monday, the Olmsted County Fair is officially open, and it's hot. "We don't typically deal with this warm of weather, but we're just looking at options to do what we can to keep people comfortable," Olmsted County Fair Board member Brandon Helgeson said. Most attractions at the fair are outdoors, right in the hot sun. It sounds simple, but Helgeson said the fair board recommends staying hydrated. "If you have a water bottle on the grounds, we're ok with that. We want you to stay hydrated. We're working on a couple of different options with the forecasts we're seeing. Including some misting areas with fans to help cool you down," Helgeson said.
