Groton-New London Airport has reopened after a closure Sunday, according to a Connecticut Airport Authority official. Public information officer Ryan Tenny said the airport reopened around 6:30 p.m. after closing around 5 p.m. A “single engine aircraft had an incident at the airport,” closing it, according to Tenny. Tenny said he couldn’t comment further on the details of the incident, but added that no injuries were reported.
