NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Lawmakers in the city and state want to send a message to officers who've been fired or are under investigation: don’t come to New York.
Joint legislation from the City Council and state Senate would prevent officers from anywhere in the country from getting jobs in New York if they’ve been fired or are facing an investigation.
If passed, the law would apply to any officer nationwide who wants to get a job in New York.
