NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Approval Plummets Amid Nursing Home Fallout

The last week has seen Cuomo's worst numbers since April when he saw surges in popularity
Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s rating has dropped six points following the news of the number of coronavirus-related deaths in nursing homes covered-up by his administration for fear of federal investigation, according to a Morning Consult survey.
The survey showed Cuomo with 57 percent approval.
The figures show a six-point drop from the 63 percent approval taken prior to the cover-up revelations.
A survey was taken on February 2-11 and showed Cuomo’s disapproval at 33 percent.
That number now stands at 38 percent.
“By comparison, perceptions of Cuomo went unchanged in the aftermath of state Attorney General Letitia James’ Jan. 28 report that first revealed the undercounting of nursing home deaths,” Morning Consult reported.
