Amelia has knocked off Charlotte to be crowned the most popular girls name for 2020, while Oliver claimed the top spot for the boys for the seventh year in a row. The New South Wales Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages revealed the top 10 names for boys and girls of the year after tens of thousands of babies were born across the state. Old favourite Oliver is still the leading name for boys, followed by Noah and William. Amelia took out the girls' top spot ahead of Olivia, while the always strong-performer Charlotte was bumped down to third place after being most favoured for three years running.
