The North Wayne Schools are counting down to the end of the year. In a release on the school district's Facebook page, only 5 full weeks of school remain. Superintendent Adam Ellis in a statement says, "School violence continues to be at the forefront of decision making at school districts across the country. I want to take this moment to reassure you that this is also true for North Wayne CUSD 200. We are consistently evaluating our processes and procedures involving school safety. We will also continue to implement needed changes, participate in training(s), and engage in conversations with school leaders (both locally and across the region) and law enforcement regarding best practices within our buildings. We will take every possible step to keep our students and staff safe at school.". Graduation days were posted in the release as well. Cisne High School graduation is set for May 5th at 7 PM with Cisne Middle School graduation set for May 6th at 2pm. If you have any concerns, questions, or comments, Superintendent Ellis says to feel free to reach out to one of our building principals, or Ellis himself. Ellis can be contacted by calling 618-673-2151 or emailing [email protected]
