Adding to this, Medical Education Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil said that there are allegations that sanitisers, PPE kits, masks, or other medicines are being sold for a higher price. “So, if the need arises, we will step in and bring in rules, and this may also include the treatment for private hospitals. However, as of now, the situation has not warranted us to step into such a challenge. If necessary, we will do so,” he said.
