Nifty closes lower with a loss of 2% for the month of August

Domestic equities saw profit booking on the last day of the month ahead of GDP data and monthly FNO expiry. Overall, for the month of August Nifty closed lower with a loss of 2 per cent, said Siddhartha Khemka, Head - Retail Research, Motilal Oswal Financial Services.
