JUST THIS WEEKEND, THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY AND THE STATE RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCED A JOINT LAWSUIT AGAINST THE STATE, THAT IS JUST THE LATEST IN MULTIPLE LEGAL BATTLES CHALLENGING THE STATE’S RESTRICTIONS. REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLYMEMBER JIM PATTERSON HELD HIS OWN PRESS CONFERENCE RIGHT AFTER THE GOVERNOR’S, ESSENTIALLY SAYING, WE DON’T TRUST YOU ANYMORE. >> SHE IS CONFUSING, HE IS UNCERTAIN, AND HE IS INCOMPETENT. AND THE PEOPLE OF CALIFORNIA ARE BEGINNING TO NOTIC MY THINK WHAT WE ARE SEEING -- I THINK WHAT WE ARE SEEING RIGHT NOW IS A POLITICAL DECISION. AND IT’S A POLITICAL DECISION BECAUSE OVER ONE MILLION CALIFORNIANS HAVE SAID, YOU HAVE DONE SUCH A LOUSY JOB WE’VE SIGNED A RECALL AGAINST YOU. GOV. NEWSOM: THAT’S JUST COMPLETE AND UTTER NONSENSE. BUT WE FEEL LIKE WE’RE ON FIRM FOOTING AND BASED ON SCIENCE. AND BASED ON DATA. AND BASED ON COMMON SENSE. VICKI: NOW THAT THE STAY-AT-HOME ORDER HAS BEEN LIFTED, WEAPONS NOW IS THAT EACH COUNTY GOES TO ITS COLOR-CODED AND 54 THE 58 COUNTIES ARE IN THE PURPLE. DURING THIS PRESS CONFERENCE, THEY SAID IN ANNOUNCEMENTS WOULD BE MADE TOMORROW REGARDING ASSESSMENTS. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THA
