As the game has evolved over the years, it has become less football game and more spectacle. Real football fans have been replaced by celebrities and corporate bigwigs in the stands. Commercial breaks have become ever more frequent and longer. The halftime extravaganza gets more elaborate by the year. The game day coverage starts earlier and earlier while providing no more insight. Maybe it’s just me, but if my team isn’t in it, and the Jets are never in it, I just don’t much care about the Super Bowl any more. How about you?
