A new booklet has been published exploring the history of Preban Cemetery in Annacurra. 'Preban Graveyard: Learning through our heritage' is the culmination of a project undertaken by the community in Annacurra to tell the story of the graveyard. The book looks at the rich and diverse history of Preban Cemetery. It also includes the records of all the burials recorded by the Preban Graveyard Committee during their research and photos of the headstones. This booklet contains the inscriptions of 144 graves and names of 327 people who are buried at Preban along with a map of each grave. The information is likely to be of great interest to anyone researching their family history or who is interested in learning more about the rich heritage of County Wicklow.
