I don't mind you asking. You're curious. +1 for that. I was a coach on the AAU circuit for one of the better programs in the nation (St. Louis Eagles) and I coached HS bball/fball as an assistant in Missouri and California. From about 7 years of experience, I have a sense for how a top 10 vs top 25 vs top 50 vs top 100 player vs top 150 player plays/performs. I used to do a mini-experiment back in my HS coaching days. I would take a few friends who were casual college basketball fans but hardcore NBA fans to Pangos All-American camp or some other big-time camp as spectators. Since they love NBA but had a passing interest in college, they weren't gung-ho about recruiting and had very little knowledge of who's who. After watching games, I would ask them to rank the best players they saw.
