BMW So what exactly makes the M5 CS tick? Well under the hood lies the same S63 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that's found in the M5, but in CS guise it produces a mighty 627 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. The CS is also 230 pounds lighter than the M5 Competition thanks to a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof, hood, mirror caps, and rear spoiler, and lightweight forged alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Stiffer engine mounts, carbon-ceramic brakes, and tweaked suspension also contribute to the extreme performance on offer. The M5 CS will sprint to 60 mph in only 2.9 seconds and top out at 190 mph. The M5 CS should arrive in the second half of 2021 at a price of $142,000.
